To all fans, friends, and past contributors: Yes, I am back, but in a more limited role. The most important change is that from this season on I will no longer be posting dual meets (OR the dual meets master schedule) on my website. Both the master schedule and all dual meets will now be posted exclusively to and available on the NHSCA website (See http://www.nhscasportsnetwork.com/wrestling/highschool ). This is partly due to NHSCA’s meet entry system being far quicker, more user-friendly, and much easier to correct than my old system (if you could call a monster EXCEL spreadsheet that!), but mostly due to lack of time on my part because of changes at work and in my personal life and the resulting increases in responsibilities. I enjoyed corresponding with all of you, and look forward to continuing to do so. But I can no longer afford to spend 6-8 hours a night for months on end compiling and posting results.

All those who still wish to contribute meet results can continue to do so by signing up with NHSCA. Mike Leister and Brian Burychka would be delighted to get additional help entering dual meet AND medal tournament results. I spent a lot of time last season entering dual meets on their site, and once I got used to the system (which wasn’t long), it only took a minute or to post a dual meet, which was then IMMEDIATELY available on-line (instead of you having to wait agonizing hours for me to do battle with my site and finally post a whole slug of results at 3 AM).

HOWEVER, to make the NHSCA system work, we need ROSTERS! Of the 74 District One programs we have about 30 complete rosters on-line, plus a dozen or so partial ones. Until the remaining programs have their rosters on line it’s going to be a real pain posting meets. SO PLEASE SEND US YOUR ROSTERS (with names, grades, and certified weights).

FINALLY, although I am working with NHSCA this season (and hopefully for many more), IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM am I personally getting anything out of it, except for the satisfaction of promoting high school wrestling in District One, just like I did during my years working with and for Greg Ferrell.
